I’m Gavin — a British wedding photographer based in Bordeaux, working with English-speaking couples across southwest France. I’ll turn up early, read the light, stay out of the way when it counts — and get the photo your mum didn’t even know she wanted. It matters to me because it matters to you.
Here’s the deal: I’m good at this. The photos hit hard. The atmosphere’s easy. I bring calm where you need it, energy when it helps, and just enough dry humour to keep things moving — even with your uncle and his “opinions.”

Weddings are full of quick glances, bad jokes, quiet nerves and someone crying in the loos. I’m tuned into all of it. I’m not there to direct a performance or turn it into a photoshoot. I’m there to catch what actually happens and make sure it looks as good as it felt
A calm presence from first chat to final frame
I’ve photographed enough people to know when to step in and when to shut up. I’ll help when it helps group shots, portrait cues, wrangling the groomsmen then blend in and let the day run. I’m not trying to be invisible, but I’m also not climbing on chairs for attention. Most couples forget I’m even there. The gallery usually reminds them I didn’t miss a thing.
Made for Southwest France
I live in Bordeaux and work all over the Dordogne, Gironde and the bits in between. Each place has its own light and pace. I adapt to both. Whether it’s a courtyard, a vineyard or a town hall that smells like history, I’ll work with what’s there and get the best from it. You won’t hear me moaning about the weather or needing three hours to warm up. I turn up and get on with it.
